Sub 4 Santa

This Wednesday we will be kicking off our sub for Santa fundraiser. All funds for this fundraiser go to help homeless students in Davis School District, specifically helping them have a good Christmas. Our goal this year is $20,000 dollars. We will be having a competition between the classes to see who can raise the most money in total. Spirit bowl points will be awarded based on total donations received. We will be having a ton of fun activities over the next 2 and a half weeks to support our fundraising efforts.
This week we will hold the kickoff assembly on Wednesday. Prizes will be given at the assembly so be sure to be there so you can win some prizes!
Also, we will be hosting a free movie night on Thursday in the commons, we will be watching ELF. The movie is free and concessions will be available for purchase with all funds raised from concessions going to sub for Santa.
Friday we will have a 9 square tournament in the commons at lunch. Anyone can enter for 25 cents per entry. the winner at the end of lunch will get a trophy and a prize!

Davis High Sticker Design Contest

Do you have artistic abilities? Do you own a Hydro Flask? Do you Love Stickers? then the Davis high sticker design contest is just for you! the SBOS will select 2 Christmas themed submissions to print and sell in the D Store the week before Christmas break. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get your artwork on all the hydros in the school. Pick up an entry form from Mr Gunn in Room 1801 this week!

Key Club Food Drive

The Food Drive ended and in all the school collected 3,900 items to donate! The classes that made the most donations were Turley, Meade, Money and Newbold! Donuts will be delivered to those homeroom classes on December 4th.

We will be around on Wednesday, December 4th, to deliver the goodies for your home room class. In total the school collect about 3,900 items to donate!

Honors/AP Student Art Show

The Honors/AP art class presents “Art Investigations” an art exhibit showcasing their Fall work in the commons outside the Office. The exhibit opens before lunch on Monday, Dec 2 and can be viewed until Friday Morning, Dec 6. You will be amazed at the diversity, creativity and skill that you will see. Be sure to drop by, you won’t want to miss it.

Wrestling is off to a great start

Our Davis High Wrestling team is off to a great start with 7 duals last week. The wrestling team is 7-0 including a huge win over highly ranked Skyridge! Nice job boys! This week the Wrestling team has Matches on Tuesday at Bear River High School and Thursday at Home against Copper Hills and Cyprus

HOSA Service Project

HOSA is sponsoring a Service Project…”Bottle Caps for Cancer” Start saving all your plastic caps from water bottles, soda, milk, or juice containers and bring them to any Health Science teacher, HOSA officer, or to room 2416. 1000 caps collected will provide a chemo treatment for kids in Mexico. We will be collecting until Friday, Dec. 20th.
