Announcements for the week of December 10thrd

Sub For Santa

In the sub for Santa battle of the classes, the points totals are as follows.
The Juniors are in first place with 335,151 points
The Seniors are in 2nd with 196,475 points
And in last place are the sophomores with 126,732 points
In total, we have raised a grand total of $8,641 dollars

We are now $12,358 dollars away from our goal.

Don’t forget Smash Brothers Tournament is Tomorrow! Your forms are due by lunch tomorrow. Pick one up in front of room 1802 and pay in the office. 

Dash For Cash will be on Wednesday this week during homeroom. Our goal for dash for cash is $7,000 in 5 minutes. That’s only $4 per student. If we reach out goal we get an extra long lunch on Monday the 17th

HOSA Clothing:
The HOSA club is taking orders for HOSA T-Shirts, Hoodies, and Sweat Pants through December 14th. To order any of the clothing items obtain an order form from Mr. Fahrenbach, Mrs. Ogden, Ms. Kurtz, or any of the HOSA Student Leaders, pay for the items in the office, and bring the receipt and order form to Mr. Fahrenbach  in Room 2506 before Friday, Dec. 14th 

HOSA Blood Drive:
The HOSA Club is sponsoring a Blood Drive on Thursday, December 13th from 2:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. in the Little Theater. To sign up for the Blood Drive contact Mr. Fahrenbach, Mrs. Ogden,  Ms. Kurtz, or any of the HOSA Student Officers. To be a candidate to give blood you must be 16 years old or older, have parental permission, and meet specific weight and height criteria. Sign up for the Blood Drive and give the gift of Life for Christmas.

FFA Announcements
The FFA and Agriculture Department here at Davis High thank you for your Support with our Poinsettia Sales.

The FFA will be having a lunch meeting on Tuesday, Dec 11. All members are asked to attend.

FFA Christmas Social will be Dec 14th at Davis High School at 5:00 pm. Please RSVP by letting Mr. Spaulding know or an FFA Officer know if you will be attending

Also on Dec 12th at 2:30 pm The FFA will be taking poinsettias to the Apple Tree Assisted living center for a service project.

Latinos In Action Class
Do you like kids? Do you like doing service? Are you a minority? Do you like having fun and being involved, or would you like to be? Would you like to know what you need to do to prepare for college? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you might qualify to join the Latinos in Action class during 2nd semester! If you’re interested, go see Mrs. Turner in room 2410 or Mrs. Wadley in the counseling center for an application!

Simply Christmas
Tickets for this years Christmas Dance are on sale now. They are available every day at lunch in the D Store, in the main office or online at The dance is next Saturday at 7:00 pm and tickets will NOT be available at the door. Tickets are $20 a couple. 

FCCLA members meet Dec. 13, Thurs. in Foods room during lunch to be Santa Helpers. Hot Chocolate and Rolls will be furnished.

Advent Adventures
Come check out the latest contest in the library–advent adventures. Test your card catalog skills and be entered into a drawing for amazing prizes. You can enter once per day for the next twelve days. Prizes will be awarded on December 20th.

Moonlight Singers Audition
Do you love swing and jazz music? Do you love to sing? If so… Moonlight Singers is the ensemble for you!! Auditions to be a member of Moonlight Singers 2019 are January 3rd and 4th and you need to start getting ready. There is a QR code on the choir door that will lead you to all of the information and files you need. If you have any questions see Ms. May.
